What is the average capacity of the human bladder?

I can go for hours without needing the toilet, but when I do go I estimate that I can pass over a litre of urine. What is the average capacity of the human bladder?
I go all the time.
The supply is endless...
I used to be able to go for hours without needing the loo but then I had a baby!.......nuff said girls!
10-20 ounces
it is usually about a litre for the average healthy bladder sometimes more
each individual is different, and illness and disease effect the bladder in different ways, the avaerage healthy person, can hold
up to around 1500 mls, you should collect around 30mls an hour at least in your bladder, and should pass approx 150mls and up each time you go for a wee..
it's not likely that you're passing that much, unless you drink alot, you should drink about 8 200ml glasses of water a day, but 80% of your water intake is from food.
as long as your urine is clear and not offensive smelling you're probably ok, you should however try to wee more frequently like every 3-5 hours....its not very good fro you later in life if you hold onto it for too long as it can cause a prolapsed bladder.
if you're that concerned speak to your GP.
im a nurse and have urodynamic experience.
hope this helps..x
While working in the nursing homes we actually had to keep track of patients "outputs" they tended to run from 1200ml-1500ml. Some more, some much less.
